Château de Gaillon is a state-owned Renaissance castle that is part of Normandy’s architectural heritage and is today considered to be one of the best examples of a Renaissance castle. It presides over the town, which you will find a pleasant place to stroll around. The castle visit includes an exhibition entituled “The interior décor of Gaillon, from Gothic to Renaissance” in the entrance hall, the scale model room and then the Porte de Gênes (Genoa Gate), the cellar, the Lower Chapel and the gallery overlooking the valley.
